Fossil Hunters’ Adventure

Arcade Creation Club fossil hunters just returned from their adventure at Shasta Lake all safe and sound with the exception of a few scrapes, bruises, achy muscles, and some poison oak. We all had a glorious time enjoying God’s creation and seeing the evidence scientifically of how He had been changing it! What we found were quite a few anomalies; many unexpected finds and observations. Under the direction and leadership of Patrice Capps, Senior Curator and Researcher, we recorded each discovery with video, photograph, written and oral recordings, and brought specimens back with us to be analyzed and tested. We are not through yet; there is still much more to do! We will have some pictures of our adventure to share with you at our next meeting. We had some very exciting finds which spur many questions as to what exactly we found and how it was formed and why it was where we found it. There were some conclusions that we made – such as there had to have been violent layering of very hot and molten materials in a very short period of time. Come and see and hear for yourself some of what we found. We will be meeting Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 509 of the Fellowship Hall at Arcade Church, 3927 Marconi Avenue.
